The Fairy Doll, waar gaat het boek over?Birthday-girl Angie gets just what she wanted: the dolly she had seen in the window of a mysterious little shop.Birthday-girl Angie gets just what she wanted: the dolly she had seen in the window of a mysterious little shop. Angie calls her Bella, and soon finds out that the shop was not only mysterious, but also has fairy magic. Bella can come alive and talk to her! Having a magic dolly has some drawbacks, though: Angie can only talk to Bella when she becomes doll-sized, and when you shrink, your clothes don’t shrink with you! There’s Angie’s lively sister Veronica to deal with. And Bella? Well, let’s just say she doesn’t have a very fairy-like personality. Over de auteur Glynis van Gestel "When my daughters were little, I wrote and illustrated this book to read to them. My girls loved it, but I never attempted to have it published. Now that my children have grown up they ask, 'Whatever happened to that book you wrote? It was so lovely, why don’t you publish it?' Now that I have retired as a teacher and have four grandchildren, finally the moment has come."
