Zeronic - Modernism (CD)

Modernism is a 2026 album by Austrian trio Zeronic, rooted in an alternative rock sound that incorporates post‑punk influences and an emotionally direct, melodically clear style. Across its songs, the record examines life in an era of ongoing progress, focusing on themes like acceleration, distance, belonging and contradiction, and how people seek connection in a world that constantly pushes them apart. It marks the band’s return after a long break and presents them in a renewed, forward‑moving phase. The album’s tracklist includes songs such as A String of Luck and other new material developed over about a year, distilled from numerous initial ideas into a concise, coherent collection. Tracks like these reflect the lyrical tension between freedom and uncertainty, closeness and separation, disenchantment and cautious optimism, all wrapped in dynamic guitar‑driven arrangements and a modern, atmospheric production. Released in 2026, Modernism functions both as a comeback statement and as a conceptually unified exploration of contemporary life, reaffirming Zeronic’s place in alternative rock while expanding their sonic palette.
