Leæther Strip - Æppreciation (LP)

Leæther Strip’s Æppreciation LP is a fierce, high-energy collection that showcases Claus Larsen’s distinctive take on electronic body music. Rooted in the EBM and industrial genre, the album pushes driving rhythms, dark synth textures, and gritty vocal treatments to the forefront, creating a dense, club-ready sound that still retains a strong emotional core. The production emphasizes pounding beats, sharp sequencer lines, and a cold, mechanical atmosphere that fits perfectly with the project’s long-standing reputation in the underground electronic scene. Released in 2014, Æppreciation functions as a focused tribute work that filters well-known material through Leæther Strip’s own sonic lens. The LP highlights Larsen’s skill at transforming source material into something harder, darker, and more aggressive while preserving the melodic hooks and dramatic tension that made these songs compelling in the first place. As an LP document within the Æppreciation series, it stands as a concentrated statement of intent: an exploration of how EBM and industrial aesthetics can reframe familiar sounds into something raw, physical, and unapologetically intense.
