Marcus Vintage-S bridgeScrew Type 60's Style Bridge Features a jazz bass bridge of basic form of 60's style. With screw shape saddles. The string spacing is adjustable by moving the strings into another thread in the saddle. You can achieve variations of sound depending on whether the strings go through the body or are threaded through the saddles, the toploader way.Rolled fretboard edgesA true customshop featureWe have taken the overall playability to the next level with the rolled fingerboard edges. .What only custom shops can achieve, is now available in the Sire 2nd Gen series. These rounded edges will give players a firmer and more natural grasp, compared to the typical fretboards.We were well aware of the difficulties we would face in our ambition to apply the rolled fretboard edges in a mass production factory. Together with the production team, we worked tirelessly to make this theory a reality.This was quite a challenge, almost an impossible mission.We tried making several adjustments to the production process and even introduced a new machine. Since our Sire basses also have bindings, this made it exceptionally challenging, way beyond our imaginations. But eventually, we found the answers and we are ecstatic to present the Rolled Fretboard Edges in all our 2nd Generation models.Marcus Vintage-J Revolution set with 70's Jazz Bass Pickup SpacingWe have changed the Alnico Magnet's magnetizing method to produce the similar aging sound of a 20-year-old Heavy Formvar Pickup. We have changed the coil to Plain Enamel and installed a program into a coil winding machine which enabled us to embody almost the same speed and winding crossover angle like the handmade winding.We decided to name this pickup technology “Revolution Pickup Technology.”The Marcus Vintage-J Revolution Pickup Set is a newly upgraded pickup made with US Plain Enamel coil and complete with a 70's pickup spacing allowing the V7 Vintage to reproduce the traditional vintage jazz bass sound. This high-quality premium Jazz bass pickup features a higher resolution and clearer sound. We have been collaborating with Marcus Miller to tailor the best sound balance and it will be introduced in the 2nd Gen series. The exterior of the pickup has also been upgraded as it is now printed with a logo.Vintage-J set has slightly more delicate sound than the Super-J Set while the Super-J Set has slightly more punchy sound than the Vintage-J Set.
