Cry of the Banshee - Blu-ray - Import

In a supremely sinister performance, horror legend Vincent Price stars as despotic magistrate Lord Edward Whitman, who cruelly persecutes the peasants of Elizabethan England on his merciless witch hunt. While trying to wipe out one coven, Whitman unwittingly curses his family to supernatural murder when a trusted member of his household is transformed into a vehicle of demonic vengeance. One of Gordon Hessler and Chris Wicking's acclaimed run of films for AIP UK, this hard-edged British folk horror has been painstakingly restored by Hammer from the original film negatives. The Limited Collector's Edition includes both Hessler's original director's cut (in widescreen and full-frame aspect ratios) and AIP's re-edited theatrical version alongside new and archive supporting material, on two discs covered in a limited O-card featuring stylish new artwork.
