This is a book for all those people who don’t know about the many, many characters who inhabit his colorful lyrics. It is an entertaining trip through the kaleidoscope of personalities in Bob Dylan’s enigmatic songs - all those people who have influenced his life and thoughts. Many famous, many a mystery. They all invite discussion. Why did Dylan put them into his songs? How important were they to him, to his times? Perhaps by reading a little about each one, this book will reveal the answers. They are names that stand out vividly with their own history in politics, religion, showbiz, sports, society, myth and yes, even in crime. A charismatic collection of characters all brought together by the lilting, lonesome voice of one man - Bob Dylan.
